Cookie policy

In short
This website does not set cookies of its own, except one that you set yourself if you choose a design with the link at the bottom of a page (described below). It does not use advertising, social media plugins or tracking tools, and it does not store anything in your browser (no cookies, local storage or similar) to measure visits. A small script counts page views, clicks, scrolling and time on page in aggregate form, without identifiers, and sends them only to this website; it stops if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Details are in our Privacy policy. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not contact any third party.
We do not show a cookie consent banner.
Two designs, chosen without cookies
We are comparing two designs of this website. Which one you see is worked out by our server at each page load from your IP address and browser type, which are used for this on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the website and are not stored. Nothing is saved on your device. If you change network or browser, you may see the other design.
If you choose a design with the link at the bottom of every page, we set one cookie, at your request, to remember your choice. Without that click, no cookie is set.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
opt_ab_scelta | Optimizative (first party) | Remembers the design you chose (A or B) with the link at the bottom of the page. Set only when you click that link. Contains only the letter a or b: no personal data, no tracking across sites | 90 days |
The cookie is not readable by scripts on the page, is sent only to this website, and is not shared with anyone. If you delete it, the design is again chosen automatically, without cookies.
Cookies that our hosting provider may set
This website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. To protect the site against automated attacks, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies in some situations, for example when a visitor has to pass a security check. These cookies do not identify you and are not used for tracking or advertising.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Distinguishes people from automated bots, only when bot protection is active | 30 minutes of inactivity |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Remembers that the visitor passed a security check | Set by the site's security settings |
Cloudflare describes these cookies at developers.cloudflare.com.
A note on the live network badge
Some pages show which Cloudflare data centre delivered the page to you. To do this, a script asks our own server for the data centre code (for example "MXP" for Milan). It does not use cookies, does not store anything, and does not send information to third parties.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking Cloudflare's security cookies may prevent the site from loading when a security check is required.
Changes
If we ever add tools that use cookies for statistics or marketing, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it, before those tools run.
